Travel and Logistics

To ensure smooth transport and a consistent experience for everyone, please review the following travel guidance carefully before booking flights. Please allow 2.5 hours travel time to/from the venue using group transport to allow for different traffic conditions.

Arrival – Tuesday 14 April:

  • Heathrow Airport is the closest airport to fly into
  • You must arrive in the UK no later than 9am on Tuesday 14 April
  • Group transport will be organised from designated locations to the venue. These locations will be shared nearer the time once you confirm your flight details to marketing
  • If your travel requires you to arrive in the UK earlier, please reach out to Susan Hotchkiss to discuss. Group transport will be provided on the day of the event

Departure – Thursday 16 April:

  • The event will close at 2pm on Thursday 16 April
  • Early departures cannot be accommodated, so please ensure your return flight allows sufficient time for group transport from the venue to the airport
  • If suitable flights are not available on Thursday evening, please reach out to Susan Hotchkiss to discuss

Flight Details and Booking Approvals – Action Required

If you received the invitation on X date and registered to attend the SKO event, then you are pre-approved to book your air travel to the UK on Tuesday 14 April and depart on Thursday 16 April and your flights can be booked via Concur/Eton Travel in the usual way with your line manager approval. If you need to travel outside of these dates please reach out to Susan Hotchkiss with your proposed flights and hotel details for the additional nights that you require, a total cost of the trip and reason for the date extension to obtain VP approval before making your flight reservation.

Once booked, please send your flight details to marketing (Jess Britt) no later than 17 February, so we can finalise transport and logistics.

Further details on group transport timings and meeting points will be shared closer to the event.

What to Pack

April in the English countryside can be unpredictable. We recommend:

  • Layers and a warm jacket
  • Sensible footwear suitable for outdoor paths (wellies provided onsite)
  • Smart attire for the gala dinner

As the saying goes: There’s no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing
